Scooting Through Sofia: A Personal Tour with Lubo

Meet Lubo- he was my scooter tour guide in Bulgaria. I signed up on Viator for a 2 hour scooter drive around city of Sophia visiting famous landmarks.

It was supposed to be a very small group- and no one showed up but me so it became a private tour. (My lucky day I guess).

I had the best guide who also happened to own the business. It felt more like two friends going around the city together. We drove past historical monuments, beautiful, churches and city buildings, discussed history and most importantly talked about life is in Sofia.

Lubo was so kind and fun and we immediately became quick friends. Towards the end of the tour, I had expressed that I wanted to see some sites two hours away. He told me he will ask his father if he could lend me his car. He was confident that he will not use it and that I will be allowed to use it.

Who would let a new friend drive their car 100 miles away from the city . Although the gesture was very sweet, I wasn’t comfortable driving outside of town.
